Also Read – Over 2 hours screen time daily will make your kids impulsiveTell us how you prepared for this role: Playing a drug addict was difficult. I read a lot about addiction on the internet. I talked to people who had undergone the ordeal. I have a friend who has recovered now, so I spoke to him. Shagufta gave me some clips so I looked at them but there were no acting workshops since Shagufta did not want anything to come between me and my natural self. Tell us about the director of this film? This happens to be Shagufta’s first directorial venture. One reason why I chose this film is because of it has strong content. These days, people do get into drugs and then a whole lot of problems get unleashed. These people suffer, they become social outcasts. Rehab is also not the only solution in this situation. The film rightly depicts that love and care can heal the victim permanently. You decided to do playack also in this film… There was nothing planned about it and I’m totally nervous about how the audience will respond to it. In fact, I’m more nervous about it than I was about my first film. But, of course, I love singing… Your fitness plan since you have lost weight? I had to lose weight for this film. There is no diet as such that I follow. I don’t eat anything after 8.30 pm at night, and in the morning I don’t wake up to tea or coffee, I eat fruit instead. I work out for about two hours at the gym every day but on a Sunday, I break all rules and have sweets. Your next project? I’m doing a film with Birsa Dasgupta next. It’s a rom-com.last_img read more
