(AP) — The Los Angeles Angels have extended their Triple-A affiliation with the Salt Lake Bees for two years through the 2022 season.The Angels announced the deal Monday.The Angels have been affiliated with the Salt Lake club since 2001, when they were the Stingers. Friends of St. Ann’s Bay Hospital Hosts Dinner to Buy Equipment

first_imgThe Friends of the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital, in St. Ann, will host their annual Dinner/Dance, on Saturday, June 29,to raise funds to purchase a second Echocardiography (ECG) machine or other equipment needed by the hospital.The fund-raising event will take place at the Hibiscus Lodge Hotel in Ocho Rios, under the distinguished patronage of Custos of St. Ann, Hon. R.O. Walters and Mrs. Norma Walters.Keynote speaker at the dinner will be well known medical practitioner, Dr. Audley Betton.In an interview with JIS News, Friend of the hospital and member of the planning committee, Mrs. Norma Walters, said the organization hopes to raise a minimum of $400,000.00 from ticket sales.Mrs. Walters said the mandate of the Friends of the Hospital is to support the hospital in any voluntary way they can.“Not only in terms of equipment, but certainly to encourage professionalism and to let the hospital staff know that the community supports them in whatever they do,” she said.The cost of a ticket is $3500.00, and interested individuals may contact Matron Marcia Lafayette of the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital at 1876-972-2272, as well as Ms. Shauna Llewellyn-Gordon of the North East Regional Health Authority at 876-795-0102 to purchase tickets.Contact: Toni-Ann Rankine, JIS Public Relations Officerlast_img read more
