How Smart Financial is expanding their branch network

first_img 6SHARESShareShareSharePrintMailGooglePinterestDiggRedditStumbleuponDeliciousBufferTumblr My project focuses on the opening of new branches that use Interactive Teller Machines and the conversion of existing branches to this ITM technology to take the place of a traditional teller line.In 2013, Smart Financial started talking about the possibility of opening a “cashless” branch, and analyzing the current market trends surrounding the declining number of teller transactions across all institutions because of Remote Deposit Capture and deposit friendly ATMs. After much thought, consideration and hard work, we decided to move forward with this concept and opened our first Express branch in January of 2014 in Spring, TX. This branch location was strategically picked to give a large amount of our membership a more convenient location to transact business with Smart Financial. Additionally, it was much cheaper, and was much quicker to get up and running than in a traditional branch build, and it also allows the credit union to more quickly and efficiently expand our branch network to better serve our members. These branches have Interactive Teller machines that use video chat technology to interact with the member. The members just touch the screen and are able to interact with our virtual tellers to make their deposits, withdrawals, cashier’s checks and the list goes on and on! The member can do everything at these machines that they would normally do with their teller. We wanted to create this new concept without limiting what we could offer to our members. continue reading »last_img read more

first_imgThe B&H football team will play three friendly and one preparatory match ahead of the World Championship in Brazil. The Dragons will have their first test before Mundial in Austria, where they will play against Egypt in Innsbruck on 5 March. Sušić will gather his players two days earlier in the capital city of Tyrol, and the match against Egypt will mainly serve as preparation for the match against Nigeria. The stadium was renovated for Euro 2008.After that, Sušić’s players will not have a gathering until 15 May, when the team will come together in Sarajevo. The Dragons will spend 12 days in the capital city, after which they will travel to the USA.During the preparations in Sarajevo, the best B&H football players will train in Hrasnica and Grbavica, and in these 12 days the team will receive one or two days off. There was a possibility that the team would train in the training center NFSBIH in Zenica, but the Dragons wanted to continue to have the same place for accommodation and a place for training, and it was decided that the gathering of the B&H team would take place in Hotel Herzegovina in Ilidža.On 27 May, the Dragons will travel to the US, where they will continue preparations, and for 31 May and 5 June, there will be friendly matches with Chile and Mexico. They will probably play against Mexico in Chicago, but there is still no official confirmation on the location.(Source: reprezentacija.ba)last_img read more

McGhee picks Howard

first_imgby Malik VincentAfter weighing options for his upcoming collegiate football career, Perry’s Greg McGhee signed a National Letter of Intent with NCAA Division I FCS (formerly I-AA) Howard University last week.Located in Washington DC, Howard is one of the premier Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the country. DRIVING THE LANE—Greg McGhee of Perry looks to drive the lane against Allderdice. McGhee scored 19 points in the Commodores 71-69 come from behind win over Allderdice. Perry clinched the number one seed in the City League playoffs. (COURIER PHOTO/WILLIAM MCBRIDE) “When I went down for my visit, it still had the city vibe but it was much more exciting,” McGhee said. “It made me realize that there is a whole other world outside of Pittsburgh.”McGhee, as a freshman at Perry, started off as the Commodores’ fifth-string quarterback. After a constant effort to improve, the very next season, he was designated as the team’s starter.“Greg is a competitor no matter what he does,” said Perry’s coach Bill Gallagher. “Whether it’s in the weight room, studying film, or watching his opponents, his will not to loose is what made him a wonderful quarterback.”In his junior and senior seasons, Perry had what McGhee describes as a “run first and pass never” offense. But his 24 touchdown passes, compared to only five interceptions this past season, showed how he made himself the best City League passer in over a decade.Just as he’s done on the field, McGhee has excelled in the classroom. As a result of these efforts, he’ll be afforded the opportunity to be the first in his household to obtain a four-year degree.“I want to set an example for my little brother,” McGhee said. “I want to show him that hard work pays off.”His brother DeSean, 14, who is an eighth-grader, is also a left-handed quarterback.Ted White will be McGhee’s position coach at Howard. A former Bison quarterback, he’s experienced a professional career, which landed him opportunities in both the NFL (Kansas City, Tampa Bay, and Jacksonville), and the Canadian Football League.“What he reminded me of when I first saw him was (Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback) Michael Vick,” White said. “How he is able to roll to the right, keep his eyes down field, and deliver an accurate ball. It’s amazing.”In those years in which Perry didn’t do much passing, McGhee proved how he has game-breaking abilities, on the ground.“I thought he was a great fit for the west coast offense that we are going to be running next year,” White added. “Usually high school quarterbacks are used to sitting back in the shotgun. Be we watched Greg go under center and he was still very effective. He can run and pass. We like that about him.”Brandon Slade, McGhee’s cousin, was a former player at Perry as well. He attended Howard and is currently practicing law in Washington.“It will be a good thing for me to be down there with Brandon,” McGhee said. “He will be a great mentor to me and should help me get adjusted with life in that area.”“His choice to matriculate to Howard shows his maturity,” Gallagher said. “He was looking beyond football. For a guy his age, it is impressive to see him make a decision that involves what he plans to do in his life, in general.”ALSO: McGhee’s favorite target and 2010 All-City League performer on both offense and defense, Devin Ghafoor, has chosen to accept a football scholarship with NCAA Division II Edinboro University.Ghafoor was more the possession receiver out of the two split-ends that the Commodores featured in the league’s most effective pass attack in 2010. He had 30-plus receptions for 535 yards in his senior season.(Follow our continuing coverage of and add your comments to our website at www.newpittsburghcourieronline.com.) What are the humps and domes on top of an aircraft’s fuselage?

first_imgThe world’s first jetliners looked very sleek, and their fuselage tops forming a clean straight line from nose to tail, with an occasional blade antenna or anti-collision light as the only protrusions. Today, the average modern airliner has a collection of bumps, humps, and domes mounted on top of the fuselage, and these are antenna housings that serve a very important purpose. From inflight entertainment systems with satellite TV to full Wi-Fi communication capability, these devices offer air passengers all the modern conveniences of their ground-bound high-tech digital devices for business and pleasure while in flight. On one flight, having access to that much real-time information was not necessarily a good thing. In 2005, an Airbus A320 bound from California to New York experienced a landing gear problem and had to return to make an emergency landing in Los Angeles. As the cabin crew tried to keep everyone calm, passengers soon discovered they were watching all the emergency preparations for their very own landing “live” on satellite TV being broadcast to the screens at every seat. The emergency landing was uneventful, but passenger’s anxieties were definitely heightened in that final hour before landing!last_img read more

Be It Resolved

first_imgWhen you are “resolved,” you are determined to do something, come what may. Submitted for your consideration. Essential Reading! Get my first book: The Only Sale Guide You’ll Ever Need “The USA Today bestseller by the star sales speaker and author of The Sales Blog that reveals how all salespeople can attain huge sales success through strategies backed by extensive research and experience.” Buy Now Stop wasting time. Time is your only completely nonrenewable resource. Stop treating all renewable resources as if they are scarce, and stop treating time as if it is abundant.Generate energy. Your physical health is your number one priority, as “you” are the critical resource for generating your results. You are a power plant.Take your foot off the brake. “You” are the only obstacle between you and the greater success you desire. Believing that something or someone else is the obstacle is proof positive that you are the obstacle.Shed old beliefs for new. The difference between your results this year and your results last year is going to be made up of the new beliefs you adopt and the new actions that follow.Always be uncomfortable. If you are comfortable, you are not growing. If you avoid ideas with which you disagree, then you are stagnating your personal and professional growth. If you aren’t actions that frighten you, you aren’t growing.Remember that you are not “them.” You consistently underestimate what you are capable of achieving and set your goals too low. You are not yet near reaching your full potential.Go all in on going all in. You consistently underestimate how much time, money, and/or energy is going to be required to achieve your goals. Of all of these, time and energy are more important than money.Grow your economy. You have absolutely no control over the general economy. You have massive control over your personal economy. Your focus should go to the economy where you have the greatest control.Ignore the herd. Unless you are involved in politics, thinking about, talking about, and posting about politics on social media is a waste of your time. Awareness is important. But obsession is a distraction and avoidance.last_img read more

10 months agoArsenal and Tottenham make plea for supporters behaviour

first_imgAbout the authorFreddie TaylorShare the loveHave your say Arsenal and Tottenham make plea for supporters behaviourby Freddie Taylor10 months agoSend to a friendShare the loveArsenal and Tottenham have issued statements asking their fans to behave during tonight’s EFL Cup quarter-final between the fierce north London rivals. The sides meet in the Premier League on December 2, with Arsenal running away 4-2 winners. But the game was marred by a Spurs fan throwing a banana onto the pitch as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a goal.Tottenham’s statement read: “Local derby matches are always passionate affairs and it is important that supporters play their part on these occasions by getting behind the team in a positive way and making them memorable for the right reasons.”We have enjoyed some unforgettable north London derby encounters over the years and the vast majority of fans have generated incredible atmospheres on these occasions.”However, there were incidents in our most recent Premier League fixture against Arsenal earlier this month where a small number of supporters of both sides behaved unacceptably.”Ahead of Wednesday’s Carabao Cup quarter-final tie we wish to remind supporters travelling to Emirates Stadium that any kind of racist, discriminatory or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated by the club.”As a club that has suffered from abuse in the past from opposition supporters, we wish to make clear that there is absolutely no place for this kind of behaviour in or outside of football.”Arsenal posted on their website: “This fixture always generates an exciting and passionate atmosphere, however, we recently saw incidents where a small minority of fans have behaved unacceptably and unlawfully.”We appeal to both sets of supporters to get behind their team in positive and respectful ways without any discriminatory behaviour.” last_img read more

As a Also Read – Shallu Jindal honoured with Mahatma Awardresult, extensions are more dependent on added moisture and oils to keep from getting dry and coarse. You can also apply nourishing hair mask for some extra conditioning. Moreover, it is advisable that you inspect your extensions thoroughly every 5-7 weeks. Dr Nivvedita Mahandru, Founder NNIAV, lists a few of these: Clip-ins: Clip-ins are high-quality human hair; the hair cuticles are always intact and in one direction. They can be layered and come in small strands. Colouring them is permissible but avoid bleaching as it destroys hair texture. Halo Extensions: It comes in one thick piece and the hair on top is dropped off on them so that the extensions are not visible. They are not layered and therefore are suitable for those who want their hair to look thicker on the sides but not on top.
