The concept is tapas Mauritian style with the emphasis on crab, fish and seafood. Highlights include: Paella, a bucket of crabs like ‘your Mauritian mummy used to make’, Madagascar crab claws, a pile of shrimps, Bel Ombre’s finest crab curry, and the impressive spiny lobster thermidor. Guests can enjoy favourites such as Prawn Thermidor with Coconut Milk, Beef Wellington, ‘Mini Dog’ of Chicken with Foie Gras and Truffle, Oyster with Coffee and Macadamia Emulsion plus much more – all to the accompaniment of the Gin N Tonic Jazz Band. Named “Indian Ocean Sunday Breakfast”, it includes a juice bar, a large range of teas, sparkling wine and sweet/salty corners. Look out for Homemade Charcuterie from head butcher Pascal, Dutch and French cheeses, smoked marlin with lime, sushi and sashimi with soy and ginger, and more.
